The Electronic Invoicing Module
is used to generate text files that are then emailed to the client as an
alternative form of submitting an invoice. This process was requested
and implemented by the client and our module is the solution we
developed for several contractors doing business with this client.
The module maintains a list of
invoices. Invoice types are labor, materials, equipment, per diem, camp
costs and lump sum. The module obtains project expenditures from the
project costs compiled by the three
Modular Management
Series™
core
modules used on the project sites. If labor hours, material
expenditures or equipment usage is changed for the period being invoiced
the invoice file can be recreated. Later on, if items are added for the
same invoice period a new invoice will only process the unvoiced items
encountered.
This module is an example of how
peripheral applications working in conjunction with the
Modular Management Series™
of core modules can put in place a
solution that helps the contractor with the information interface they
must maintain with their clients.
